The Cowan Creek Science School, July 17-21, will let kids explore their big world.  Look forward to hands-on stream biology, a first look through a microscope, and lots of amazing experiments.  We are proud to partner with the Challenger Learning Center to offer enrichment in science for Letcher County kids.photo (10)

Information for Parents:

All day camps begin at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday at the Cowan Community Center. Registration will begin at 8:30 am on Monday and parents/guardians will need to stay a few minutes to sign permission slips. Nutritious morning snacks and lunch will be served each day.  We are pleased to serve as a site for the USDA summer feeding program for children.  Classes will be offered concurrently for two levels: Ages 3 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.  Classes for teens and adults will be available during the art camp (check back for the full schedule in April).  Thanks to a generous grant from the Berea College Appalachian Fund and other donors, there will be no cost for students.
